You didn' say what car you are working with.

Most GM cars using VATS follow the same layout. Keep in mind that the car will not work without the VATS module unless the PCM is reprogrammed or extensive rewiring performed. The key, and the key contacts can be bypassed by strapping a proper value resitor to the 2 wires going to the VATS module, but the module has to be kept active. When the VATS module sees the proper resistance from the key, it sends a coded digital signal to the PCM. When the PCM sees the signal, itenables the fuel injectorsand power to the starter relay.

the decoder module isnt plugged in the green loop in it is cut. Previous owner ran a switch from the grey wire. It fired over when i bought it, it sat for a while and then just wouldnt fire. What is the clear component with the red and green led's in it?
