Right now I have a 350 motor I believe from a 93 trans am. The valve stem seals are in really bad shape and burning lots of oil. So I understand that they could be replaced in place but I am not that experienced and its all by myself that I feel more comfortable removing them with the guide of my shop manual. So I'm wondering while I have them off should I get new ones? How are truck flow compared to edelbrock? Aluminum is better? My price range would like to be under $800. Like I said I'm not that great so when I start seeig all the intake and exhaust numbers i'm not sure what to look for. Thanks all for the help!!! Much appreciated!!!

 

If it's from a 93, it already has aluminum heads. Post a pic so we can better help you. As far as heads go, to my knowledge, no aftermarket company makes heads that cheap. Valve stem seals aren't that hard to change and I'm sure there are videos out there to help. It'd save you a few bucks too

 

Ill post a pic def. well I was also looking to maybe change them to get some more power out of this engine for the time being. I did some searching on summit and for $800 that seems like I could have gotten all kinds for that sort of price. Are the ones for tht price really not worth getting?

 

Go back and read the description again at Summit. The LT1 heads priced for $730/750 assembled is for each. Your engine will take two.
The GM LT1 heads are darn good ones. For the money, you're better off sticking with those.

 

Yea I noticed some say pair some say each. I can't believe how much these cost. I guess I'm just gonna hold off on these heads. Thanks for the help
