For starters, Im talking about my daily driver, not the almighty Maro...
2001 Mazda Tribute, 3.0 DOHC 4WD
Guys, my transmission whines when the car is under load. Hit the gas and as the car spins up I get this whirring, whining noise. Constant with the RPMs, and ONLY while Im on the gas. No clunking or banging, just a whirr, kinda like a jet turbine spinning up, only not as loud. Does NOT happenif Im coasting or in neutral. SHe been doing it for about 6 months now and not causing any problems, but I think its getting slowly louder. (cant tell because I hear it every day) Fluid level i fine, but the fluid has been in there for a while.....
Any suggestions? (Sorry bout posting here, but the Tribute/import forums are full of nothing but ricers and guys who think an oil change is rocket science.....)
