hey you guys seen those gorilla chipz on ebay right? the ones that are stage 2 and promise like 38 to 60 more horespowerwith install time less than 10 minutes? Well do they really work? If so would it make a big difference in my car, a 91 camaro 305 tbi? Thanx!

It’s a resistor that tricks your PCM (computer) into thinking that the air temperature is colder than it actually is. This tricks the PCM into advancing the timing and changing the Air/Fuel ratio. it's crap. not a real chip. don't buy it. Sick

I saw somting like that and in the pic it was a resister. You bid on a radio shack $0.10 piece and he charged 4 or 5 bucks to ship it in an envelope with a .39 stamp.
If you want to try, check the resistance of your air temp sensor at cold and get a resistor the same value and stick it in the plug. But be warned. this persons feedback had complaints of fires and such.

Well http://www.installuniversity.com/ins...m_9.202000.htm That will help answer your questiosn and even give you the Ohms for the resistance if you want to go to radio shack and buy a much much cheaper one. The air temp sensor, if it gets unplugged most of the time will not trigger the MIL.
