Default TH350 Transmission and 1983 Camaro

I have a TH350 transmission w/305 V8.

The original transmission was the 700R4. When the previous owner installed the TH350 he kept the transmission pan mounting bracket and linkage for the 700R4.

I changed the transmission fluid and had trouble getting the shifter likage to work. I ended up breaking the cable.
The mounting bracket does not match the hole pattern of the pan since it is a different transission .

I would like to use the correct TH350 transmission mounting bracket and shifter cable from 1981 or earlier camaro.

Summit racing was no help.

Any suggestions??

Since that model did not come with a th350, it sounds like the previous owner either had something fab's, or hooked up in some type of hoople fashion. It appears you'll have to do the same. But first, look up PATC and see if they have any type of corrector bracket.

Thanks man, that is similiar to what my dad told me but we will have to fabricate our own bracket.
