i just bought a 83 camaro z28 without a motor or tranny so i bought a used 700r4 from a buddy and i have been thinking of buying a 95 305 tbi from another buddy to put but have been wondering if i will run into problems with putting it in the car the motor is out of a 95 chevy silverado any advice would be awesome thanks

 

I would just buy a carbureted 350 if I was you, unless your buddy is practically giving away that 305. I would stay with a carbureted engine anyway.

 

depends on what kind of issues you mean. it will bolt directly in, but may need other related items to run

 

i just pretty much need to know if the 83s computer will work for the 95 or should i use the computer from the 95 in the car

 

The 83 computer was for a 4bbl, crossfire, or tbi injected 05 with a 200r4 trans....The 95 did not have any of those items....you will need the correct computer for your purpose.

 

k so i need the 95 305's computer and one more question will it plug in to my 83 camaros computer harness

 

and im switched the tranny to a 700r4 i should have any problems with that right

 

the 95 is a tbi though too

 

so i got the 95 305 was going threw it and decided to scrap it cause it wasnt worth the money to rebuild but have been thinking of putting in a 67 305 out of a truck and just switching the car to run on a carb instead and am building a chevy 409 up to put in but that is a slow rebuild going top of the line on everything for it
