TBI to TPI swap
im about to take a FULL 350 TPI engine from a buddy of mine. He bought a 350 TPI Trans am and hes puttin in a 383 stroker Blah blah blah... question is. Can i use the parts off that engine and put them on mine with no problems? I have a 350 tbi right now. so the ecm, pumps, everything would be changed. can i use the stuff off this engine to use on mine?
also, those of you who have done this yourselves, could yall tell me what problems you incountered while doing this swap? how long it took? what things EXACTLY are needed?

yes please help this guy out. about 6 months ago i did research and asked advice on what to expect to run into because i was going to buy an 86 complete tpi system and replace my tbi in my 91 rs. finding out you need to replace fuel lines, the intake manifold bolt holes need to be at different angles and all that **** was easy and people said "sure it will work why wouldn't it". So needless to say i bought it and now that i have the time i overhauled the engine and drilled the manifold holes and dropped the engine in and am trying to do the wiring harness and finish it up it seems IMPOSSIBLE
or at least to say i probably never should have bought a system off an older car and just bought a 91 complete tpi

This thread is two years old. 350rs recently purchased his TPI set up and i think he knows about the center bolts being different on 87 up heads.
