i have a 1992 camaro rs with a 305 tbi in it it has 150k miles on it but still runs stong i want to keep this motor but give it more power a friend of mine has a 305 tpi cam, crank, and the heads for it basicly he has the whole top end except for the manifold. i also have a tbi unit from a 95 350, if i put the parts on my motor will it gain power or will the parts even fit

puttin that TBI on your 305 might not work at all, computer problems may arrise. I dont know if the two TBIs are in anyway similar. Check with a dealer maybe?

 

I would have to agree there. If that won't work, Turbocity.com sells a high flow throtle body and flow matched injector set for about $400 that's designed to bolt on to the car with no other mods, although a new dual plane carb manifold, and a TBI to 4 bbl adapter plate would really compliment the setup nicely. as it would greatly improve your airflow, if you can swing $1000 or so. Get a new exhaust system too, if you haven't already, as they change inintake flow won't deliver it's full potential if the engine can't get the added exhaust out fast enough, and a new cam will help you there too.
