I own a 91 Z28 with a 305 at the moment. Everything is stock on my vehicle except my exhaust, I have a cat back borla system.
I need a new engine, due to costs, im likely going to purchase a rebuilt 305. Since the engine wont be installed, i figure now would be the best time to modify it since it will be easily accessible.
I want to make some upgrades, nothing too crazy. I would like to do enough so that im going to feel the difference from what i have now.
I dont know too much about cars, what are some good upgrades i can make that wont be too much work or overly expensive. Id like to get the car back on the road asap.

 

Mild turbo would be a fun idea, but somewhat costly unless you get a good deal on a junkyard turbo...

 

if you are goin to buy a rebuilt motor try to just upgrade to the 350. most of the 305 externals will fit i.e. waterpump a/c, smog, altenator. ect. but withe the 350 you have upped the heads cam crank and piston for added hp.
