Has this ever been done before? And if so, is it possible to do without to many modifications to the car? Any help or info would be nice.

 

its been done. ive considered it myself. but i think the mods are something along the lines of cutting the shifter hole a bit bigger, maybe the tranny tunnel. but that would be about it honestly

 

Ya I kinda figured that would be the case, That means I would also have to remake the center console tho. Thanks for the info. Hmm... The T-56 is a straight swap except for the drive shaft wasn't it?

 

youve gotta cut the shift hole back a bit. but no mods to the console. ive got my eyes on one now actually. lol

 

lol well that doesnt sound too bad actually, Tho wouldn't the shifter sit kinda off in the hole in the console?

 

well it wont be perfectly center, but who cares?! lol

 

Ibelieve that there 5 shfter position on the TKO 500 when i had it priced it out the things that i needed to changewere the bell housing, tranny cross member the backup light sending unit,and yolkand of coures the cluch but there was notalk about cutting thehole any bigger. but i have not done this yet.

Sounds just like the T-56 Swap but you get a racing tranny instead of a 6 speed
