Suspension question.

Suspension question.
Iv done serches but i cant seem to find a straight answer. Can i take the suspension out from a 4th gen, and put it under my 3rd gen? And if so is it worth it? Is the 4th gen Z28 suspension that much better then a 3rd gen?

however....
spohn offers a front end kit that you can convert your car over to a coilover setup. it runs about $600.

however, the third gen's shock tower was not designed the carry the weight, therefore a strut tower brace is required, preferibly a 3 point brace.

ive heard several times that the third gen takes more g's from factory than the 4th gens. Now what accomplishes this is several things obviously, but the suspension has MAJOR role in that. Mostly its matter of opinion. But i dont think its worth 600 bucks.

personally, the 4th gen coilover system is not functional as a race suspension, but it is good to use for a weekend racer and a dd/racer. the only problem with running struts or coilover is you dont get the progressive negative camber associated with an sla or double wishbone suspension
