A few things being said here is not quite accurate. You can eliminate EGR and still ace emissions, I do it every year. EGR is more for detonation reduction than emissions. Eliminating it actually gives you a cleaner burn. Also, blocking off the PCV will clean your exhaust, I've seen that on the three gas anylizer. You can do a carb swap and still use HEI, you just use the old style HEI distributor. I put an old 366 tall deck BB dumptruck motorin my buddies 88 K1500 and thats how we got around the ignition. All you really need is a carb, intake, and a dist. just take out the CEL bulb.

I wish I'd have asked this first. What is the problem with your current TBI setup? I noticed your sig says you have a truck TBI on the motor. I have the same unit on my Rusturban and have some odd symptoms, and would like to know if they match your issues. I have an A/F ratio issue.

yea, it seem like a mixure problem, at an idle, i can literally see the fuel being injected, CLEARLY, its not like a light mist or something. But i know the car is chipped so thats not helping my situation any.

Well, I have a lean miss rough idle. Off idle hessitation to about 1800 or so then she runs like a raped ape, cruises 65-80 smooth as glass gets decent mileage for a 6200 lb rust bucket. runs nearly perfect with the O2 disconected. MODIS shows everything is working, only, A/F learned swithches yes to no. when it says yes, she runs fine then swithces to no and it idles rough. I have checked everything in the fuel sys. it all checks out. dose anything sound familiar at all?
