ok so as some know i rebuilt my carb yesturday. well all yesturday it ran great. no more hesisitation, great acceleration. all in all good. no it wont idle. at all. it just drops as soon as i let off the gas. if i hold the gas in place it stays running waivers a little but not much. any ideas?

Maybe yesterday the choke wasn't opening all the way, and the fast idle didn't pull off completely?
Is today a hotter day than yesterday? Try adjusting your curb idle screw to speed it up. It's the one on the drivers side of the carb, towards the front.

its a little cooler today. so far i found that the front mounting bolts came loose and i think i need to re torque the holds the bottom of the carb to the middle of the carb if that makes sense

i need to pull my head outa my butt. forgot to screw that metal hose back into the back of the carb that goes to the brake booster. now that i have all of the vacuum leaks fixed it runs beautiful. idles at curb idle is 750 so i need to lower that but im going to leave it there for a little longer and fast idle is 1500 not sure if that is good or not. no emission sticker on my car. before rebuild it was at 1100 for fast idle and 500 for curb so....
