stock 245 hp 90' iroc-z ???
I have a friend selling a near mint 1990 iroc-z with 103k miles on it, has the tpi 350 in it, i looked for some specs and i found it has 245 hp @ 4400rpms... this can't be right can it? If so that sucks the big nuts... also i didn't really search much as im lazy but would this be a good project car? Is the 350 engine being very restricted? any input is greatly appreciated

yea that is the average horsepower for third gen tuned port injection 350's they werent stocked with all the horsepower in the world it may not seem like a lot compared to todays like LS7 corvette engine with 505 but they are plenty quick enough plus 350's are very easy and popular engines to rebuild and do mods to

it has often been talked about that chevrolet undermarked the hp for smog reasons.atleast i think so.just pay 70$ for a dyno.anyways that car will run mid 14s in the quarter mile! bone stock.even stock filter.they are fast cars and beutiful project cars.I have a 1989 iroc 5.7 tpi and ill spank on a GT mustang hahah! how much dose your buddy want for the car?post pics?if its cheap dont miss out theese car are getting hard to come by.In the book my 89 is also 245 hp I think the torque is 330trq??

he's asking $1500 i just swapped a 4.6L engine in his 92 lincoln and now im having some computer issues.. if i can get his lincoln running i can most probably get the car for $1000... hopefully i get it... what are some common mods on the 5.7s? I was thinking about rebuilding her up with some nice mods.. as it is she has some nice iskey cams (i believe) nice deep rumble with the flowmasters
