steering wheel removal

Default steering wheel removal

hey I have a 87 RS im trying to hard to get the steering wheel off and it wont i took off the nut on the shaft or what ever and took off all the plastic on the steering wheel and I dont know what im forgetting please help.

you need a wheel puller made especially for your car. you can find em at some auto part stores.

Let me forgo the wise *** remark here and try and tell you how to use a puller. Your puller should have a big bolt hole in the middle and 2 or 3 on the outside. (In a Y or o=O=o pattern) Thread the 2 or 3 holes into the steering shaft until they seat tight. Then thread in the big bolt, turn turn turn and POP, it will break loose. Thats all it takes. Once you do it for the first time you will say " Oh, I get it"......
