Stall Speed
Hi guys,
The cam Im using says that I need 2800 stall speed converter.I already have a 2000 stall in the car.The engine builder told me to just use the 2000 stall that if I have.He said it would be fine. What are you guys thoughts.

with that amount of work and that low of a stall, it might have issues idling and while accelerating at low rpms/throttle input. that engine combo probably has a power range of about 3000-6000, correct? now, yes, it will drive with a 2000, but would be best to have at least a 2400 or the 2800 stall. does the trans still have the tcc lock-up?

I'd def. go with a minimum of a 2800 stall converter with that combo. That cam is on the large side duration wise for street use, and with a tight converter you'll hate driving it around town.

Thanks for the replies guys.I'll get the 2800 stall. Can you recommend a good one for a 700r4?
Also the builder told me he thinks I should get a victor jr. intake ,but Ive been reading and found out the rpm air gap may be a better intake for the street, what do you think?
