Yeah I almost died in my 91camaro rs. So i was driving down the road and there was a small hill I was going down. About 50 or so, just slight downhill on the road, so I applied light pressure to the breaks and the whole car started shaking to high ****!! Like omg carzy. I braked and got it down to 20 and it slowed then stopped. I drove the rest of the way home at 40 or so and no problems. No steering problems either. All lugnuts secure. What the hell was that!?!?

 

Dont get in that car again until December 26. That way you have a better chance at a Merry Christmas.
How is the air pressure.

Check your driveshaft...same thing happened to me in my yukon about a month ago, I was on my way to my new house with a truck full of stuff, the truck started shaking awful as soon as it got over 60mph....slowed down, checked the tires...nothing. Got back on the road...did it again after 60mph and after about 5 minutes of it doing it, the joint must of popped on the driveshaft, it just fell out and dragged.

 

It could've had a bent rotor, if one side grips faster than the other it could have a shaking effect. If the drums in the back got out of adjustment some how, that could be another cause. Sticking calipers or calipers that have stuck floaters that can cause it too.

 

i had a similar issue on a different car, the brakes would shake horribly until about half pedal. got new rotors, drums, pad, shoes, everything, and it didnt fix it. so i gave up on it. however, when i rotated my tire, i properly tightened my wheels by hand (took a huge pry bar to unloosen them), and found out the shop put the wheels on so damn tight it was distorting the drum and rotor. the problem is solved now.

 

Well I know its not my driveshaft because I was pissed so I flew down my road at about 120 last night and it didnt shake at all but when I was doing about 30 and went to stop at a stop sign and i pressed the brakes it did it again. But the funny thing is is that the car has never done anything like this before and I havent adjusted anything lately other than some lucas stopslip tranny fluid. Its not like a problem I had and it justgot worse it just started out of nowhere. Plus I havent done any super hard braking to warp my rotors. I think shnormo might be on to somthing, I think its somthing with my brakes. Somthing with the calipers maybe. Just get them replaced? Wheel bearing? ABS ****ing up? Would a 91 camaro rs even have ABS? Thnx again guys.

 

Your car was acting uncontrollably and you took it up to 120mph? I dont know if you are a moron or a sadist! (Who am I kidding, when I get pissed at my car I throw my tools...one of these days Im gonna break a windshield......)

Well it only does it when I brake (so far) so i was like **** it either Ill have hella fun flying down a road along side dump trucks (live right next to a rock quarry) and get home in one piece, or ill wreck and die. Then have a badass car up above. So either way its straight.Yeah I throw **** too, thats why I dont have my cell right now. Merry xmas 2 everyone on here. Thnx guys you've all been a huge help.
