Default shimmy

my camaro is bein a lil b1tch. i go down the road and get to about 45-50 mph or 70+ and the back seems to be wobbling. its the same kinda wobbling ud feel if u had warped rotors and u pushed on the brakes. i figured my tires were just outta balance so i went and had them checked out. they're fine as far as balanced goes......but still wobbles. imagine if u didnt tighten ur lugs down completly and then drove down the road, it feels like that. dunno why it only happens at 45-50 and 70 or above. warped drive shaft? bearings? shocks worn/damaged?

any ideas?

i may have a solution. check your rear sway bar. im sure u know what it is but in case, it is a metal bar that connects one end of the rear of the car to the other. maybe the sway bar end links went on you. the front ones on my car went on me, and she wobbled like you just took a poo.

Check ALL your rear end linkage parts. Any chance that you may have bent one of the wheels?? Bent wheels balance OK but wobble all over. Also make sure the wheels are spinning true, raise both wheels off the ground and watch them spin & check for wobble. Also could be a really bad tire, especially a radial one where the steel ply shifted, try a spare temporarily.

Good possibility one of the rear shocks died. You could try bouncing the corners of the car & check the rebound. Also check for leaking shocks. If a spring were bad, the car would tilt to that side. Do all the cheap things first, like checking everything out, before investing on new parts and then finding out that the problem is still there.
