Rocker Arms??
So im thinking about switching out my rocker arms to a 1.6? but i have no idea how hard they are to switch! me being new to domestics i have never switched rocker arms out before. Also does anyone have an idea of what brand tends to be better for this?
you will want to do roller rockers, and its best if you have boltons when you do this because the longer RR's will exaggerate the lift of your cam. They are not that hard to do, just take off the valve covers, and put on new rockers
. I am not sure, however, if this will screw up the geometry, worst case is you woul dneed to put on different retainers

alright well i found a good post that told me how to install them properly but how do you know how big the "stud" is??? (im working with a mystery engine here so i dont know anything about it) could i just measure the "stud" and what is it referring to by stud?
Call comp cams W/questions and go online to Chevy High Performance to get all there articals on rocker swaps. CHP is an excellent source. I am preping to do this swapnow. Tips: you will need self guided rockers if your heads do not have guide plates, a possible pushrod length change to ensure proper geometry, possible enlarging of the pushrod holes in your heads, possible stiffer vale springs. There are many small things to check, but all the info I have read states this is a good 20 or so HP. Your studs are most likely 3/8 and you cando this swap with out much difficulty, however the devil is always in the details and its always best to verify clearences etc.
Good luck!
