Recently bought a second 3rd gen. Using it for parts, but the wheels are the same. If I buy some universal 5 lug will they fit up front and in the back or would I have to get ones that have a different backspacing?

Universal wheels SHOULD work, but you might need different backspacing for the rear. I'm not sure. I know that on the TransAm GTA, the wheels are different, and you can't do a tire rotation because of the differences. You can swap rear to rear, but not front to rear or rear to front.
