Replaced Radiator on 87 IROC
Due to a coolant leak in the lower part of the raditator I was forced into replacing it. When the old radiator was removed I was shocked (front side) at the gunk build up behind the A/C condenser (about the size of the fan) so no air could possibly pass thru. Now with the new radiator Iam running 20deg cooler with my A/C.
So with this hidden location, my guess a lot of these cars have a similiar condition or worse causing overheating problems with the A/C.

Yes, I found the same when replacing my stock rad with the same. the fuzz that had collected was right in front of the fan. it must have a lot more air-flow now.
I wonder how to clean it later in 5 - 10 years.?
I am running much cooler as well, but i put a low temp themostat in.
stay cool.
