Default Removing Air filter and putting intake?

I bought a cone shaped intake filter like this http://airintake.tuzilastvo-rs.org/w...lity=75&type=m can I just take the whole air filter out and bolt this on to the black stock intake?

What do you hope to gain????? All that s going to do is draw in hot air from the engine compartment. Ditch the so called imort look and leave the two filters in place.

Dude, this is the same kid who is trying to put headers and a performance chip on a V6 with 202,000 miles. Hes obviously not listening to us. But on the bright side, hes sure to wreck the car in 6 months so we will have donor parts for the rest of us. 8*)

You wanna bet on what he adds next? A turbonator or those 4 tipped platinum spark plugs?

Drex....we admire your conviction, but you dont seem to get it. You are trying to rice out an American car. You arent going to get any more performance out of this thing. All the bolt on crap you find at Pepboys are gimmicks. That air cleaner is actually going to hurt your performance as it sucks in more dirt and more hot air.

Look, you want to improve this car? Replace your shocks, ball joints, tie rods and tires. The ride improvement alone will amaze you. Go in that order.

Pretty much this.

I don't want to act like I'm assuming or stereotyping you, Drex, but you are trying to do what I have seen a lot of my friends do: they want to make a powerful car for cheap on an American car that was from a decade where power was nowhere to be found. And to add to that, you have a V6 that was rode hard and put up wet, I'm sure. If you want a nice cruiser, restore and maintain. If you want something fast or really fun, it's going to be a big and costly project for you.
