The bulbs are most likely just drawing a lot and causeing the connection to get hot. You may find the bulbs at an autoparts store but they are expensive. You may think about modifying the light to put an LED strip in it after you see the cost of the bulbs.

Go to Radio Shack with a sample and they are $1.99 each for the 20 watt halogen that you need or replace the set up with a LED display for less then $10.00. www.custom-leds.com

Yep Blackz87 is right! Radio shack has them and they cost what he said, 2 bucks a piece for five, use dielectric grease on the prongs, and keep the connection where they make! (hatch & rear well cover) i installed one off a 87z from a wrecking yard cause i dont like then in rear hatch, on the 91rs, and it works perfect.

Just a bit of advice "DO NOTTOUCH " the bulbs with your bare fingers. The oil from your fingers will result in hot spots on the halogens and cause early failures.

How's the connection point between the rear hatch and the deck plate the switch presses against? The switches in the hatch work on a spring type action, if it isnt touching the deck plate, the light will not work.
