Check your RPO codes located on the underside of your center console lid. RPO G80 is the code for a Limited Slip rear (not positive traction).

Jack up the car and if there is no tag on the diff cover saying it is spin a wheel. The other wheel will spin in the same direction.
Positraction is GM's brand name for limited slip.

The only sure way is to take the cover off and look. You will have a carrier that looks like the picture. If not , you DO not have a Limited Slip rear (note correct term "not Posi").

easiest way to tell is jack up both rear wheels and try to spin them (with the brake off). it should be a posi. also, the codes wont be on the lide, but on the passenger side of the console (thats where mine is)

No need to take the cover off. If its a LSD it will do its job and spin both wheels in the same direction.
