Rear Axel Swap for a 95 z28

I have a friend who has a 95 camaro z28 and needs a new rear axel. I have an axel from a 79 camaro z28. Would that rear end work in the 95?

No, may be a different spline count and the length is not the same.

not only that, but the housing is totally different. 79 is leaf spring, 82-02 is coil spring and trailing arms
