Default radiator shroud?

hey, theres no shroud on my radiator?86 tpi with single fan. i think it was supposed to be a dual fan, but isnt. its one of the things that was missing or didnt match the car when i got it (missing air dam, flat plastic things underneth, some curved peice in front of the dam). now, would not having a shroud help keep it cooler when driving, but when im going slow with the fan on, the shroud will cool it down faster?

for the most part the shroud only has two purposes, #1 for your protection, keep your hands out of there, the other, is it plays a role in directing your air flow, while driving your not going to notice anything without it, get a nice hot summer day sitting at a idle, you probably will notice some increase, but not enough to realy do damage, for the however, alot of the 3rd gens, their fan was built into the shroud itself, u couldnt seperate them, which may be why your missing yours. im not sure how the duals were setup thou as both of mine were single fans and my z28 was missing the shroud. you can atleast get the top of them aftermarket, i have a chrome one on mine that i picked off ebay for like $5, im not sure ive ever seen the whole peice after market but u can get them out of the junkyard for practically nothing.
