Default Question about RIMS

I have a 1992 RS Camaro with a 305 stock.

I would like to know if I could fit 17x9.5 rims with 6.75 back spacing in the front and 17x11 rims with 7.5 back spacing on the rear?

Thanks

too much back spacing. they will probably rub. third gen stock back spacing is 4" get you a tape measure and and look and see if you have the extra 4 to 5 inches of clearance you will need. remember you will need an extra inch or so for the sidewall of the tire. Sick

back spacing is way too much and 11 in the back will stick out and look ghetto. if you are keepin it on the street id go with 7-7.5 in front for tires and no more than 9.5- 10 in the rear.

The best way to determine the most back spacing is to measure from the inner wheel well to the brake drum ( where the wheel mounts ) and subtrack about 2 1/2 inches for side wall bulging and movement. Don't forget to check for shock and spring clearance first. Find whatever Your tire would contact first and use that as Your starting point. I wouldn't use anymore outside spacing than stock so Your tires will stay in Your wheelwell.

the slicks on my rod are 10"s but actual width is around 13" with 4" backspacing i have about an inch or so clearance and they peek out of the wheel wells 3" or so. the rearend is stock width so if you tire was an accurate 10" it would probably stay inside the wheel well. Sick
