Default Question on wheels, exhaust, and????

Pushing 420 HP without the nitrous.... I want rims and tires that look good but are also good for the spring of the moment street race???? And not a big budget after paying for the current engine mods... any help would be awesome!

Well, I'm curious though.... I mean, I race a lot... and I like 20 inch rims lol.... but with 20's VERY LITTLE RUBBER and VERY EXPENSIVE.... So, what would be the most practical? I want wide in the rear and normal up front, and I believe I need a MINIMUM of 17 inch rims to clear the calipers on my 95 TA... The car is flawless, not even a rock ding on the exterior so I want it to look good, and perform good when I go to stomp someone Also... the rear gears are still stock and would it be better to swap to 3.73's and a 10 bolt rear? And where can I get a good deal on them? Sorry guys, was pushing Cobra Mustangs before I got smart and realized that GM products are 10 times the car! lol so kinda ignorant right now.

Oh, one other thing.... I have long tube headers to put on... and NOBODY will install them for me I don't have the garage or the time.... My exhaust 3 inch to the cat, cat is punched out and then she's straight piped all the way back with 3 1/2 (hard to get the big pipes out the back!.) She's loud as hell with the 420 hp! And performs awesome, are the headers worth putting on or should I just sell them?

i believe mine are a 52 offset and are 17x8.5 wide. wish i would have went with the 9.5s for the back. im lowered a little over a inch and they do rub just a tad with a load in the back. im looking into rolling the back wells. look at what music man has there about as wide as ive seen.

The headers are worth it. As far as wheels, go with something that is a 17 or an 18 with the offset that Craby mentioned. Anything bigger than 18 looks asinine on our cars. You should be able to run up to an 11" wheel in the back with a 315 tire.

So... if I put the headers on, do I have to reprogram the computer? Thanks for the rim info guys.
