I am looking to put in a v8 engine in my 92 camaro rs five speed manual, prefferably a 350. Im looking to buy one remanufactured or possibly out of a wrecked car. From what previous car should i purchase an engine from. i have heard an 85 vette engine is good. what else is a good engine?

 

350 Tuned Port is good, or a LT1 or LS1 would be great. unfortuanatly, if you car has a V6 in it, have fun switching everything over. last summer i attempted to swap a 350 into a 305 Trans Am witha Borg Warner Tranny, and it went terribly wrong, i would of had to mix match parts to make it all work together, and if you have a V6, you have to buy a new trans, computer, driveshaft, transmounts, everything
