what info does carfax provide? I know that my 84 was bought new by some city and used as a dare car and would like to try to get some pics from them, but dont know what city. does carfax provide that info?

 

Carfax will either GUARANTEE OR ALERT you of the following: if the title is salvaged or rebuilt, fire/flood/hail/buyback or a lemon, mileage descrepancies, total loss, structure/frame damage, airbag deployment, odometer rollback, other accidents or damage. It then goes on to show you the dates, mileage and what was done (usually an emissions test). The main things its good for is salvaged titles and mileage descrepancies--well worth the $40 (for unlimited 30 day use) IMO.
