So what you are saying is that you don't have speedo hooked to the trans now?
91 came with 700r4 so just get part that goes in trans from junk yard to use that one

if it is an older 700r4 with a cable driven speedo, you can convert it to use a vss. hopefully the wiring is still intact. there are conversion kits availible from summit. you can use junkyard parts, but im not sure what all would be needed. however once you have the vss fixed, your mileage will increase as your converter will be allowed to lock and the engine can correctly set the timing

Yeah I just looked at my trans and it is a 350 turbo guess the guy was wrong about it being a 700r4

You are sure about that? A lot of work went into that then. What shifter do you have? its obviously not stock...i'm just curious if he used something decent, or it was a hack job.

What is the front of your torque arm mounted to? With a T350, a remote frame mount bracket would have to be used.

I'm sure it is cause they changed the inside center console to the auto setup and the gear marks don't line up like they should drive lines up with neutral witch would make sense if it's not the 700r4. My dad a mechanic of 30+ years agrees it's a 350

Let's see a pic of your center console. Does it have factory auto shifter in it?
How long have YOU been driving this car?
BIG difference between TH350 and 700r4 when driving

This car never had a 700R4 in it. It appears some stuff has been cobbled together. Still curious if and how the previous owner attached the torque arm. That's something you'll actually want to know.

Yeah I know it was a stick car, but he said it was 700r4 and now he's saying TH350, and I'm saying he should have known by driving car because of the difference in gears, 3sp auto verses 4 speed auto with lock up converter. Who knows maybe it's a PG. LOL
