Hey, Anyone have any quarter mile stories or times to tell about their 3rd gen? What mods etc, Has anyone ever ran a car with a build similar to the 325 hp 305 sticky article here? And what would it take to get into the 13s, 12s, and then low 12s? (aftermarket stuff of course, not expecting that out of a 305)? Everyone chime in here!!

 

I had a book that I gave to one of the members here that detailed how to run in the 11's with a 400 small block built on a budget.
I personaly damn near broke out of my dial in time of 15.5 in my last two races of eliminations in my 84 305 Z28. I had to coast across the line in the scond to the last race and hit the brakes really hard in the last race against a 350 Chevelle (I had all my smog equipment and the Chevell had none ). We had the same dial in so there was no handicap and I was far enough ahead of him I hit the brakes hard right before the line and if I did not I would have broke out because I did a perfect 15.5. My secret to winning..... I had to pee real bad and that made me step on the gas even harder!
