Default planning to swap r12 to r134, need suggestions.

The bearing on my ac compressor went out, so I am going to replace the whole compressor.

It currently has r12 in the system.

It is a terrible time to do this, because winter is on the horizon and I need defrost capabilities.

Does anyone have a link to where I can get information on steps for recharging the system??

I bought the kit that has the new dryer and all new o rings and orphasist tube and new compressor.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Defroster still work without AC, they just work better with AC.

Always check youtube first they have DIY videos on everything. You may want to search more you may find a 3rd gen video.

Thanks Gorn, I appreciate the help.
I watched that video, it covers a lot of things.

My new problem is that the new r4 ac compressor didn't come with pag oil.

I need to know which pag oil and how much goes in to the compressor.

I also need to know where to put the oil?
Like the exact location.

I'm trying to contact u guys first, then I'll check with GDP, the manufacturer.
