chances are that the manifold your lookin at is for pre 86 engines. after 86 or 85 they switched to centerbolt heads with externally balenced engines. there was alot of changes on the motors and that manifold wont fit. im sure you can get one from edelbrock themselves but dont buy that one and ruin it to make it fit, cuz it wont.

But is there any way to get away from centerbolt heads? cuz mine leak a little oil (just cuz the covers are a little warped and i havent bought any new ones) but I plan one changing them later. Can i get heads that are not centerbolt???
and what do you mean by externally balenced?

You can buy adapters to convert the center bolt mounting to the old perimiter style.
But a better way (and better looking i.m.o.) would be to get rid of the crappy old tin can valve covers and put on some good aluminum covers. The aluminum covers have a very thick mounting flange by comparison, and won't warp and twist like the metal ones do.

How much more would a set of those cost?
Would they still support the original gasket style and bolts?
Thank you!

Go shopping on ebay to get an idea, I have seen decent looking and reasonably priced ones. They go anywhere from $50 to $100, depending on whether they're plain-jane smooth or ball milled. They do bolt on the same way as the stock ones. Most I have seen come with new s.s. mounting bolts too. And you use the same kind of gasket as you have now, but new ones would still be a good idea.

But as you found there are also manifolds that are made to bolt right on there.
