Oli leak after replacing distributor
Hopefully someone can help.I recently replaced my stock intake and carb.Reinstalled everything on my 305.Tried to start, but nothing.Double checked to make sure everything was hooked up correctly, and found a oil leak coming from bottom of car.Can anyone tell what may have happened? Did I totally mess something up?

what yr and model? if the car did not start then oil would not come from certain places in such a short time. i would say something did not get changed or is not hooked up or was damaged during intake change. oil pressure line something like that. follow the oil trail and see were it leads. did u install the dist. right and get the wires right. its common to get the dist. in 180 degrees off. also common to get it a tooth or two off but can usually turn the dist to correct.

Did you put a gasket between the distributor and manifold? You need to look and see where the oil is coming from. What did you use to seal the end valleys between the manifold and block? I hope you didn't use the (sometimes) supplied rubber ones. Those have a tendency of squishing out if the fit isn't near perfect, and causing a big leak. RTV ONLY on the ends!
