I would definitely suspect the guage if nothing else has changed. What was the pressure running at before you became concerned?

 

Well, when I first got it it stayed between 15-20psi at idle after driving it for as long as it takes to get it down to like 10 now. That's at just under 750rpm, at 1000 rpm it kicks up fast and stays around 40 psi up to about 3000rpm, and then climbs with the revs after that.

 

10 is a little bit to think about. How many miles are on the motor? One other thought...I had a mechanical oil press guage in a chevelle and the line got all gunked up causing it to read low. I took it apart at the block sensor and shot some carb cleaner in it...let it drain...cleaned the block fitting and changed oil and filter. Pressure came up a bit at idle...a bit 10-20psi at idle. I always thought it was just a cheap guage (came with car). Autometer 3 guage pack under dash. 350 ran strong and I beat it hard with no problems.

 

Yeah, mine are cheap too, the ppl who had em put in didn't care much about the car.

I'm not really sure how many miles this motor has, it came from a junked Camaro...
