Default noise from the diff?

i noticed today that my diff started to make a noise when i turn left. i know its already is half a posi. it always spins both if i turn left, but just a peg legger when i turn right. anyway, the noise sounds like someone blowing over an old glass jug. it only did it going to the bank and in the walmart parking lot, then stopped. i plan on changing the fluid sometime soon

Only did it a few times and didnt happen again? Pretend it didnt happen. Until you can replicate the results, you are just guessing.

On another note.....years ago I was a service writer. Some guy comes in complaining of the same thing you were.(noise in a turn, one way only...)It was late in the day, and my head mechanic, (newly appointed) jumped on the opportunity. So, head mechanic says its rear wheel bearing, starts tearing her apart, and breaks some stuff. Car has to stay with us another 2 days. It gets all put together, customer comes to pick up..........same friggen noise.

After it was all said and done, we come to find out the e-brake cable was rubbing against the axle during tight turns.

Check youre-brake cable. good luck.

Its not suposed to be posi while turning. Have you ever changed the fluid and use friction modifyer? I use the royal purple that already has modifyer and it works well in my borg warner
