No Start
I have a 91 RS with a 305, its getting fuel, (yes I've sprayed starter fluid just to be sure) getting spark, turns over just fine but will not start. was running fine and then just quit going down the road. Any one have any ideas?
What do you mean you sprayed starting fluid to be sure?
Does it fire on starting fluid then die without more?
How did you confirm it's getting fuel?
How did you confirm it's getting spark?
If you have fuel and spark it should at least backfire or something.
I might suspect a jumped timing chain since it quit going down the road but you claim it's getting both fuel and spark.
You could turn the motor over to TDC compression stroke then pull the dist. cap off and see if the rotor is still pointing to number 1 plug tower.
If it's not you have a bad timing chain that has jumped the sprocket, this assuming you haven't done anything with moving the dist.since it died.

If it ran on starter fluid then you are not getting the right fuel. Low fuel pressure would be my guess with the limited info. I am assuming you can see fuel spraying in the throttle body.
Now if you have fuel and spark and you have nothing I would check for exhaust back pressure. A plugged exhaust or more accurately a plugged cat will cause a no start, it will not even try if its complexly plugged.
I always found it weird how many cars showed up with at the dealer with completely plugged cats. Its something that should happen over time. One day it will not go over 3000 RPM then 2000 RPM then Idle only then no start.

So it’s not backfiring or anything on the staring fluid, there is fuel coming out of the injectors and I’ve even sprayed fuel in while trying to start not even a sputter
I pulled a plug to check for spark, and test the wires on the distributor and they are getting power and plug is getting spark

I had that happen on an Impala wagon years ago,I cut it off and spliced in a piece of pipe and it ran better than when I first got it.
I've always lived in rural areas that didn't require DEQ testing.
