Nitrous
engine? year? mileage??
technically NO nitrous is safe...i have seen guys run up to a 100 shot on a stock engine, but that was on a newer engine, and it eventually did fry the rings...if youre going to run any heavy shot..make you sure that you hook everything up exactly right..no shortcuts! and make sure its a wetshot system!!

is it completely rebuilt? one rule of nitrous...IT WILL FIND THE WEAK POINT. make sure it is wet shot because it lowers the chances of running too lean. you can make anything wet shot...but once you install it, make sure that you have a fuel presure gauge because when fuel pressure dips too low, you WILL blow the engine...you want to make sure that youre running a bit fat at lower rpms, and when the juice gets in, it will automatically lean out.
to safely run nitrous you will need to make some sort of throttle position sensor..you can, in theory, set it anywhere, but you only want the nos to inject at full throttle...
if you need help, i have a fair deal of knowledge about the setup of the systems, for either carb or FI
