If you want performance on a budget, go buy a rebuilt short block and change over your heads and intake etc. Or if you got a little more money, look at a long block motor. The GM 350 that came out of trucks in the 70's were 4 bolt mains and had a GM steel crank. Those steel cranks are stronger than the aftermarket ones.
