I'm new and i just bought a 84 Z28 i want to know how to make some easy power that wont empty my bank account.

 

hey.. Some ways you can get power for cheap is get some nice headers, decent sparkplugs, new exaust

 

first off, how much is too much to you? for a small block chevy engine, performance parts are readily available...i know that the parts stores back home, like advance auto, had edelbrock performance heads/intakes sitting on the shelves...i would suggest headers and true dual exhaust...but you have to be careful because in some states chaning to a true dual exhaust will make the car illegal for state inspection/emissions...[]

 

If no EFI, scrap the smog bullsh*it. or you could drive a slower car and then come back to yours.
power costs money, so if this one is not being held back by the factory, thenyou need to upgrade parts
the first things i would do is to let her breath, pricey but the best bang for your buck outside of nos.

Just what the rest of those guys are saying... Headers, Dual Exhaust, Good Plugs and wires, a $2.00 thermostat. If you have a factory 175-190. Drop it down a little. There are alot of lil' things you can do. Just all depends on the money that you want to spend.
