Default New '92 owner in Texas

Got a 1992 Camaro RS from a yard lot and I got a couple questions as it's my first Chevy/GM vehicle. I believe it has an engine swap on it because it looks like my buddies 93 Silverado 1500 5.7, and the exhaust headers (no other exhaust parts, camaro just has headers on it) sit too high making it to where I can't add a complete exhaust system.
1. What would be the best course of action to make a complete or custom exhaust system? (I don't want or even need cats, my state only requires a muffler and that's it.)
2. The intake on it is the pan looking intake with the circle filter instead of the sweeping intake that should be on it, will this make any negative performance difference, and if so, is it better to go back to stock or go aftermarket?

Headers will hit the frame if I add pipe.
