Default NEEDED: picture of underside radiator area.

i have been having problems with overheating. i just got the plastics for the front end in yesterday. i installed my air dam with no hitch, however, there are other parts i thought i needed that dont fit. the plastics i have came off of a 5.0 HO carbed model, and mine is a TPI. i can easily see that the plastic that is on top wont fit mine for the intake (i didnt need it), but i thought i needed a curved peice of plastic underneth that connects to the nose and curves upwards in front of the rad. this peice fits in, but there are no bolt holes that line up, and it also shows halfway through the grill. if someone can take a photo of the underside of a 1986 tpi, or one that has the same plastics, i would greatly appreciate it.

Not all cars came with that plastic so there might not be holes in the correct places. I have a 91 with that plastic and if its dry out sunday I will snap a pic.

well, i looked at the ebay picture last night, and i got it figured out. i had to take off some little bits of plastic, and installed the peice that directs the air from the grill to the rad, and the curved peice that goes underneath in front of the rad. everything popped in well, except for the curved peice. there isnt any where to bolt in place, so i think i will just run a few wood screws through it to hold it to the nose.

Would it look like this. There are pieces that hook to the bumper reinforcement that hold the front. And there are parts on the side to the radiator suport.

hmm. it looks like its going to be hard to install the little peices that go from the grille.i tried putting them in from the front, but they wouldnt go in properly. i also dont have any more access to the frille screws because i used wood screws to attach the large curved to the bottom of the structure. its at the shop roght now, but i will get pics to show when i get it back. it also didnt overheat going into to town. heck, it barely made it past the first dash after 100 degrees. the last time i went to town, it was colder, windier, and it was at 250 degrees
