Default Need some advice

Whats up, I bought my 91 z28 pretty recently and the first few things I was thinking about doing are a cat-back exhaust, underdrive pulleys, and advancing timing.

The pulleys I'm looking at: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...294967028+7916

The exhausts I'm was looking at: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/se...67028+9292+938

Anybody advanced the timing on their third gens? anything I need to know? Let me know what you think, Thanks

You have a computer controlled engine, and the computer provides optimum timing based on the input from the KS (knock sensor), set the timing according to spec and the ECM will take care of the timing.

i personally do not reccomend underdrive pullies. I thought about getting some awhile back. Cause low voltage and over heating problems when sitting at an idel. Plus, the gains arent very noticeable untill high RPMS, and even then, the gains are slim to none.

to advance your timing ground out your cpu so your ecm doesnt just reset it. also be carefull on how much you advance the motor. stock tdc is 6 going to 8 is about the max i would put the timing at so you wont get a bad spark knock. but if you do decide to go higher just make sure that you put a high octane fuel in at all times to minimize the knock.
