Default need a kickdown cable for tranny.

Looking for a kick down cable to fit the 700r4 tranny and the aftermarket edelbrock carb. I was wondering if edelbrock had one for their carbs?
I looked on summit but couldnt find anything matching.

Fitment has nothing to do with the carburetor so long as it is not set up for a Ford TV cable. It's pretty much standard between Chrysler and GM.

hmm i just dont see how it connects to the carb. I have the stock cable zip tide. So the tranny is a little off and shifts abit too early. So i was looking for one that just hooks on and needed no adjustments. Thanks for your search and information.

Thats a wonderful way to burn up your trans. The 700R4 and 4L60 are very sensitive to TV cable adjustment. Did you swap the carb out yourself or did it come that way? Either way you couldn't seriously think zip tie is the answer could you?

Buy a correct cable for your year trans. Edelbrock linkage is not going to be the same as the Qjet. However a few companies make a corrector plate for the TV cable. By the way, how are you routing your throttle cable? The linkage for that is not the same as stock.

There are plenty of articles on how to properly adjust the cable, but first get your linkages/corrector plates set up properly first.

Hey thanks camaro found what i needed on the second link.
This is what i need to get rid of my zip tie . Than I can adjust the cable correctly from there.

I should beable to find something like this at lowes or home depot right? Don't want to pay $6 plus shipping if I can get it for $3.

or better yet autozone should have one i pass by there ever day going and coming from work.

Read over the first link too sneaky. Carb linkage geometry for the TV cable connection is important for having it in the right position during throttle travel.
