86 z28 Well lets start with the wiring I took out a 305 and I'm goin to a carb 350 so Do i need the computer and the wiring thats there......I'm puttin in an autometer gauge cluster......would it be easier to scrap the old wiring and start fresh??? I only need the motor to run and the lights and horn and wipers basically street legal crap needs to work not worried about emissions. Oh and one more thing I tore out the AC please tell me the heat doesn't use the same fan??

 

Swapping to a carb has been gone over so many times here. Do a search and you will find lots of info on it.
Starting off fresh with alll new wire is a lot of wires. Use whats in there. I did when I put my Autometer gauges in my 84. And if you go non computer controled thats a whol harness you will be taking out but you will need the harness that is located on the drivers side for your engine, gauges, headlights,etc.
As for the heat and the fan....I can't tell you what you want to hear.[&o]
