take your air cleaner off so you can see the maf and see if it is glowing. you will need to keep it hooked so u can run the car to look.

So i grabbed a MAF from the junkyard (only 16 bucks, compared to a new one which is what, 150?)

swapped it out, seems the problem is fixed. need to drive it more to be sure. but it hasnt happened since the swap.
