Sounds like it has a little bit of a lumpy cam in it. That, or it's only running on 7 cylinders.
How come exhaust steam was only coming from the left pipe?

Well, it was only lump due to it being a cold start. After we worked on it for a few hours then started her up again she ran much smoother after she warmed up. The smoke only comes out the left pipe because it just has more direct flow to that pipe than the other one. If that makes sense.
