i like red. lol. make sure you check the frame, window edges and cubby holes for cancer. can never see that dang window rust till its out. although if your racing that may not be a bad thing. beat if off and lose weight. surface rust is sometimes the hardest to deal with. gotta kill it or it just keeps coming back. 350 should have a 5.7 on the side good mechanic should be able to tell quik so your buddy is probly right.

Do NOT cheap out on your paint job......I did a quick sand on mine, fixed a few spots of surface rust and blasted over the major trouble areas.....

Here I am, 5 years later...Im totally in love with my car, have several K invested in the engine, drivetrain and suspension.....but the rust and bubbles are starting to poke thru. It RUINS an otherwise perfect car. If you are going to paint......budget at LEAST 1500 for it. (Thats a BARE bones job, assuming you have friends in the industry. Dont skimp on prep. dont skimp on prep. dont skimp on prep)...

I'm pretty sure you'll figure it all out so that it'll come out the exact way you want it to. O by the way welcome to the forum.
