i have a 91 camaro with a V8 350 car came with a FI 305 was wondering if i could run my stock tach i tried to tap in to the tach wire and im getting no reading on the cluster? any ideas?

 

Yes, you can. I believe the pink wire is the hot wire and the white is the negative wire that the tach part of the box can be wired into. I don't remember the exact color, but I did it, and the tach works correctly with no filter. I'll add that I am using the 6-AL box with the MSD coil, so I believe pink went from keyed-on switch to positive on the stock coil (and on the MSD), and white went to the negative on the old coil via the original plug fittings. Hope this helps, I'm sure someone else has done this more recently than I did. I do rememeber it being pretty straightforward.
